Join 1,500 volunteers on Seattle Works Day

by | May 13, 2011

If you’d like to help out the community on Saturday, May 21, join the nonprofit Seattle Works and 1,500 volunteers participating in 32 service projects around the city.

Volunteers participate in a number of ways: through teams sponsored by local companies such as Accenture, Boeing, FedEx and Microsoft ; through team captains who gather their friends and colleagues; or as individuals who join a public team. Team sizes range anywhere from 5 to 300+ members. The volunteers converge at Settle Center immediately following the projects for an after party hosted by Seattle Works following the service projects.
Last year 81% of participants said that they were inspired to do more in the community as a result of Seattle Works Day.
Seattle Works is still accepting teams and individual volunteers – please visit www.seattleworks.org or contact Kathleen Weber (206-324-0808 or [email protected]) to learn how to get involved!
