Oroweat Bakery Outlet in Phinney closing

by | Nov 2, 2010

The Oroweat Bakery Outlet at 7009 Greenwood Ave. N. is closing Dec. 31. The Oroweat Bakery is in Beaverton, Oregon. The outlets receive unsold bread from grocery stores to sell to the public at a discount.
Sandra, one of the three employees at the store, said the drivers who deliver the bread from grocery stores to the outlet would be transferred to the Oroweat depot in Lynnwood.
“It’s a huge bummer,” Sandra said. “We’ve had so many customers express that they’re not happy that we’re closing.”
The Oroweat outlet at 9578 1st Ave. NE in Northgate will remain open.
Thanks to Steve for the tip!
