Neighborhood Art Up Artwalk is tonight

by | Apr 9, 2010

Hopefully yesterday’s rain and hail won’t return tonight so we can have a nice Art Up Artwalk in Greenwood and Phinney Ridge. More than two dozen businesses along Greenwood-Phinney avenues from 65th to 87th streets will host artists, music and other special events from 6-9 p.m. Click here for participant descriptions and here for a map.
If you’re willing to go off the beaten path just a bit, the new Spindle arts and crafts shop at 7305 Linden Ave. N. is having its soft opening tonight. A number of artists’ work is featured, including Megan Myers…

…and Tomonster.

While you’re there, pop next door to Sugarcomb Salon and see stencils and paintings by Dave Ryan and Laurie Hemingway.
A number of businesses are offering specials during the artwalk. Emma Jean’s Consignments & Antiques at 8554-1/2 Greenwood Ave. N. offers 30%-50% off during the artwalk; Bleacher’s Pub at 8118 Greenwood Ave. N. offers a discounted appetizer or entree; Carmelita has its $5 Happy Hour menu all night; Gaspare Ristorante & Bar at 6705 Greenwood Ave. N. is serving a $22 three-course Italian meal all night; and Taproot Theatre at 204 N. 85th St. has discounted tickets for tonight’s 8 p.m. show of “Brooklyn Boy.”
