Lots of businesses continue to help raise money for earthquake-ravaged Haiti.
Fresh Flours at 6015 Phinney Ave. N. and 5313 Ballard Ave. NW raised more than $1,000 when barista Jameson told customers he’d match all their tips to donate to Doctors Without Borders and Sustainable Organic Integrated Livelihoods (SOIL).
Tonight, Oliver’s Twist at 70th and Greenwood is donating money from the evening to Haitian relief.
The Shop Agora at 6417-A Phinney Ave. N. has raised more than $100 by selling TAG (Tiny Acts of Gratitude) cards for $1 a piece.
Carmelita restaurant at 7314 Greenwood Ave. N. is holding a fundraiser Tuesday night. All proceeds from the Earthquake Relief Benefit Dinner’s special menu will be donated to Oxfam America Haitian Relief Fund.
And with all the news of what’s happening in Haiti, Seattle Children’s sent a helpful fact sheet to help children understand and cope with grief from natural disasters, even when they’re so far away.
