GT Recording robbed last Thursday

by | Aug 3, 2009

A man walked into GT Recording at 7619 Greenwood Ave. N. last Thursday and stole $200 before being confronted by the owner.
Owner Gordon Murray told me that he found the man standing behind the front counter and asked what he was doing. The man replied that he was looking for a phone book to find a coffee shop. Murray ran him off, but didn’t realize until five minutes later that the man had stolen the money. GT Recording keeps very little cash on hand, as its customers usually pay by credit card or check.
Murray said the man was white, about 35 years old, 5-9 or 5-10, around 175 pounds, wearing a large white T-shirt or polo shirt, light colored pants and tennis shoes. He had dark curly hair and some kind of accent, possibly East Coast. Murray said he could smell that the man had been drinking.
