City approves of new Fire Station 21 design

by | Jul 25, 2009

The Ballard News Tribune reports the city approved of the design for the new Fire Station 21 at a public hearing last week. The new, two-story station will replace the old building on the corner of Greenwood Ave. N. and N. 73rd St. The design goes to the full council for a vote on Monday.

As we’ve previously reported, the fire crew will move five blocks south to the vacant lot across from the Fini condos. Industrial tents and trailers will house the crew, fire engine and their gear during construction of the new station, which should occur next year.
