Little League All-Star games starting

Little League players from the neighborhood are starting their All-Star games today. The North Central Little League, which covers the Phinney Ridge area, is hosting the Majors District 8 All Star baseball tournament (ages 11-12) at the Lower Woodland Complex.
This is the first round of the tournament that eventually leads to the Little League World Series. North Central Little League plays Woodinville at 8 p.m. today and Ballard Little League plays North Bothell at 5 p.m.; Northwest Little League (for the area north of 85th St.) plays its first game against Queen Anne on Tuesday at 5 p.m. You can check out the brackets here.
Ballard Little League is hosting the Juniors District 8 All Star baseball tournament (ages 13-14) at the Whitman and Loyal Heights 90-foot fields. Ballard won its first game on Sunday, 10-1 against Magnolia. Check out that tournament’s bracket here.
