Man assaulted, hospitalized

by | Jun 12, 2009

A man in his 30s was assaulted and possibly stabbed inside an apartment at 6408 Phinney Ave. N. Thursday evening.

Paramedics took him to Harborview Medical Center, according to Seattle police on the scene who did not have information on the man’s condition.

Police on the scene were trying to sort out what happened inside the upstairs apartment at the seven-unit building and couldn’t verify what weapon was used, saying only that an “edged weapon” may have been involved.

Witnesses said they could hear a “lot of yelling and screaming” coming from the victim’s unit. We’re told that prompted a neighbor to call the police sometime around 6:30 p.m.
