Farmers Market art design deadline extended

by | Mar 26, 2009

We reported last week that the Phinney Neighborhood Association was soliciting artwork for this year’s market T-shirt and tote bag. The original deadline was March 31, but that has been extended to April 7.

We are seeking bold, original artwork that reflects the spirit of this local farmer’s market and which contains imagery related to farming and/or the items available at the market. Media that will be considered includes: drawing/illustration, painting, printmaking, and collage/mixed media free of copyrighted materials. Artwork chosen for the t-shirt and tote bags will be reproduced via a heat transfer method, enabling the use of a wide range of colors in the final reproduction. Past examples of artwork used on t‐shirts and tote bags are available at: https://www.phinneycenter.org/programs/market.shtml

Here’s last year’s design by Ben Mann. While not stated in the call to artists, PNA staff tell us that a horizontal orientation may work better than a vertical one. Submissions should be emailed to [email protected] and be no bigger than 1.5 MB. One image per artist.
