Two wine tastings at Picnic this weekend

by | Mar 6, 2009

In honor of Washington Wine Month, Picnic food and wine boutique at 6801 Greenwood Ave. N. is offering two wine tasting events this weekend.
Friday’s wine taste is fromĀ 5:30-7:30 p.m. and features new releases fromĀ O’Shea/Scarborough.

Come try the wines of the hottest new winery in Washington State. The 2007 Chardonnay is delicious and a perfect example of the craftiness of this dynamic duo. The remaining lineup depends on what they have left as their wines are selling like hot-cakes!

Saturday’s wine tastingĀ from 3-5 p.m. featuresĀ Darren Williams of Small Lot Co-Op as he pours though some of the highlights of his catalog from small wineries and wine shops. Wine lovers can tasteĀ a Sappolil Cellars library selection – the ultra-rare Tres Amici, from this family winery.Ā
Picnic also has regular Thursday night wine tastes from 5:30-7:30 p.m. All wine tastings are $8, and include nibbles from Picnic’s pantry.
