Green Lake Community Center and Evans Pool, at 7201 E. Green Lake Dr. N., are closing for maintenance. The pool will be closed March 9-28 (but that may be extended to April 5), and the community center will be closed March 16-24.
Workers will refinish the gym and meeting room floors, and clean the high ceiling ducts. Pool work will include a complete draining, cleaning, and refilling of the pool, fresh paint, installation of drain covers to prevent injuries, renovation of the men’s locker room floors, cleaning of the cut glass sculpture, and installation of new starting blocks.
The nearest community centers are Northgate, Ravenna Eckstein, Bitter Lake, and Loyal Heights. The nearest pools are Ballard, Helene Madison, and Meadowbrook Pool.
