Where’s the bus? On your cellphone

by | Feb 10, 2009

Two University of Washington doctoral students have devised what sounds like a great way to find out when your bus is coming. Just call OneBusAway at 206-456-0609 from your cell phone (or any phone) and follow the automated prompts to find out your bus stop number. A computer checks a database of current bus locations, and a robotic voice tells you when your bus will arrive. You can also access the system online at www.OneBusAway.org or using an iPhone.
Check out an in-depth story on the system here. And let us know if the system works for you.
