Citizen’s Climate Lobby forming local chapter

by | Jan 29, 2009

A group of neighborhood residentsĀ is forming a local chapter of Citizen’s Climate Lobby (CCL) to help lobby members of Congress about sustainable climate options. The group’s first meeting is Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the Greenwood Library at 81st and Greenwood. Bring your own coffee mug instead of usingĀ disposable cups.
Here’s their pitch:

Worried that just changing light bulbs might not be enough? We are too. Our goal is to create the political will for a sustainable climate by lobbying our members of Congress together. We’d like your help. Marshall Saunders, the National Organizer, will be here to explain CCL and the process he uses to create change by lobbying. The immediate focus is a Revenue Neutral Carbon Tax and Feed-in Tariffs. Please join us. Learn how we can act together to push for a national climate policy.

To RSVP for the meeting, contactĀ Anne Engstrom or Guillaume Mauger.
