Veterans Day closures, schedules

November 10th, 2008 · No Comments

Most government offices are closed tomorrow in honor of Veterans Day, including the post office, so don’t expect any mail in your mailbox Tuesday.

Bank of America at 404 N. 85th St. and Washington Mutual/JPMorgan Chase at 8500 Greenwood Ave. N. will be closed, and so will the BECU branch inside the 87th & Greenwood Safeway.

Other closures: Greenwood Library; schools; and the state liquor store at Greenwood and 92nd St.

The good news is that buses will run on their regular schedule, the Woodland Park Zoo is still open, and parking is free at all city parking meters.

The Greenwood Boys & Girls Club at 8635 Fremont Ave. N. will be open special hours for a K-5 Safari Camp on Veterans Day. The camp is $30 and will include a trip to the zoo, several fun Safari theme activities, lunch and supervised care from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Normal drop-in hours will be in place 12-8 p.m. Parents can sign up in person at the club or email cbarnard@positiveplace.org.
