Help plan Day of the Dead

by | Sep 29, 2008

Every year, the PNA holds a traditional Mexican parade and festival celebrating life and death called Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).

There’s a 7 p.m. planning meeting tonight (9/29/08) at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, so anyone who is interested in being involved, has ideas, or wants to find out what will be happening, is invited to stop in.

For those who just want to participate, the festivities happen this year on Friday, Nov. 7, starting with a candlelight procession that begins at 6:30 p.m. at 75th and Phinney and end up at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave N. where you can participate in the community altar and enjoy live music, hot chocolate, craft activities, and more. Call (206) 783-2244 for more information.
