Phinney garden tour this Sunday

by | Sep 5, 2008

The Phinney Neighborhood Association’s 7th annual Garden Tour is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Sunday. You can visit eight neighborhood gardens/yards on the self-guided tour. Don’t worry – these aren’t immaculately overdesigned gardens that normal people can’t possibly hope to replicate. While they are lovely, they are designed to be “real” yards and gardens that regular folk can aspire to.
Homeowners will be in each garden to tell you how they did it. Bring your camera and a notebook to write down ideas.
The Garden Tour includes a garden art studio sale in the PNA parking lot at Phinney Ave. N and NW 67th St. Nine artists will sell their wares, including mosaics, stained glass, ceramic tiles, painted pots and metal work. Raffle tickets for 1,000 pounds of Zoo Doo are $1.
Tickets are $10 for PNA members and $15 for non-members at the PNA, Swansons Nursery or online. You can buy tickets on Sunday at the PNA starting at 10:45 a.m.
