Back to school at the zoo

Even the animals at Woodland Park Zoo are celebrating back to school time. At 11 a.m. on Friday the orangutans will get sack lunches and writing utensils to play with; other animals throughout the zoo will get lunches and “textbooks” from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Also on Sunday, the first 2,000 kids through the door will get a free plush penguin as part of the zoo’s “Every Living Thing Needs Water” summer visitor experience.
