Taproot Theatre presents ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas,’ with sensory friendly performances

by | Nov 17, 2016

Taproot Theatre’s holiday production of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” runs Nov. 30 through Dec. 28 in the Isaac Studio, 204. N. 85th St.

This delightful family-friendly favorite is back to spread holiday cheer! Charlie Brown is depressed by the never-ending commercialism surrounding the holidays. Thankfully, Linus is there to help him find the true meaning of Christmas in this musical adaptation of the cartoon classic.

All daytime performances (1 p.m. and 4 p.m.) are for all ages: evening performances (7 p.m.) are for ages 5 and up.

Special sensory-friendly performances are at 1 p.m. on Dec. 3 and 4 p.m. on Dec. 10, with increased lighting, lower sound levels, a smaller audience to allow patrons space for movement, the ability to bring in tablets or other electronic devices to be used with headphones, and the option to bring in special seating devices and fidget toys.
