Reminder: 2nd community meeting for 70th & Greenwood development is Friday

by | Oct 5, 2016

Just a reminder that the developers behind the proposed “Shared Roof” project at 7009 Greenwood Ave. N. are hosting a second community meeting to get input outside of the city’s formal Design Review program. The meeting is at 7 p.m. this Friday, at Woodland Park Presbyterian Church, directly across the street from the project, at 225 N. 70th St.

Evolution Projects will present updated plans and allow time for questions and comments from neighbors.

Initial plans called for a six-story apartment building with 43 units above ground-floor retail. Apartments would range from one- to four-bedrooms, with below-grade parking for 30 vehicles. A public park on the west side would be 4,700 square feet, with another 3,000 square feet of public open space between ground-floor retail.

Evolution Projects is asking for 12,185 square feet to be rezoned from Neighborhood Commercial 40’ to NC265. In exchange, they would include affordable housing units.
