Viewlands Elementary School Parent-Teacher-Student Association is hosting a grand opening celebration for its new playground from 2-4 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 8.
The ribbon cutting ceremony and recognition for volunteers will be at 2:10 p.m., followed by music, cake, and playing on the new playground. The new play equipment is designed for children 5-12 years old.
Volunteers have spent the last few years fundraising, planning and installing the new equipment.
Dozens of volunteers installed the equipment last month.
