Northwest Chamber Chorus performs ‘Our Dancing Day’ at Phinney Ridge Lutheran on Dec. 6 & 12

Northwest Chamber Chorus performs “Our Dancing Day” concert with guest string quartet, flute and percussion on Dec. 6 and 12 at Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church, 7500 Greenwood Ave. N.

Included in the program are traditional carols Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day by John Rutter and by John Gardener with percussion, It Came Upon a Midnight Clear by Cary John Franklin with flute, and Ding Dong Merrily on High by Stephen Paulus with flute, A Christmas Carol by Charles Ives, Patapan by Paul J. Christiansen, Go Where I Send Thee by Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory, Noche de Paz (Silent Night) by César Carillo, andDance Today With Joy by Vijay Singh with percussion. Featured on the program is the exciting Estampie Natalis by Vaclav Nelhybel with flute, piccolo, violin, viola, cello and percussion. O Magnum Mysterium by Ivo Antognini, Personent Hodie by Vijay Singh, Ave Maris Stella by Edvard Grieg, Virga Jesse Floruit by Anton Bruckner, and Ubi Caritas III (Sacred Heart) by Ola Gjeilo with string quartet, complete this festive program.

Concerts are at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6, and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12.

Tickets are $23 general; $18 senior citizens and singers of established groups. Students ages 6-18 are admitted free. Tickets may be purchased online or by calling 206-523-1196.
