by | Oct 17, 2015

Viewlands Elementary School, 10525 3rd Ave. NW, needs to raise $25,000 in cash for its playground renovations. The project has already received a $75,000 King County Youth Sports Facilities Grant and a $100,000 Neighborhood Matching Fund Grant from the Department of Neighborhoods, but that matching grant requires cash and in-kind donations.

The cash match must be raised by Nov. 4. You can donate online. You can also download their project flier and mail in a donation.

Phase 1 construction could begin next summer, and would include a new play area with climbing structure, and a multi-sport field plus an eighth-mile running track.

Please see the Playground Project 2016 page for more information or download the flier. A GoFundMe Site has also been set up to accept donations online: https://www.gofundme.com/xj6hyaw7
