Farmers market, artwalk and lots of music in Phinney-Greenwood this weekend

Here are a few highlights of events in Greenwood and Phinney Ridge this weekend. Check our Events calendar for more.

Phinney Farmers Market is from 3-7 p.m. Friday in the upper parking lot of the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6532 Phinney Ave. N. Fresh produce, flowers, bread, salmon, meat, and several dinner options.

Art Up Phinneywood Artwalk is from 6-9 p.m. Friday at dozens of galleries and other businesses throughout the neighborhood. Check out the Artwalk website for a complete list of participating businesses and artists and a map.

Couth Buzzard Books, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N., presents Sarah Comer in a Pacific NW Folklore Society Coffeehouse concert from 7:30-9 p.m. Friday; a PNWFS Community Sing from 12-1 p.m. Saturday; Twilight Zone Cabaret from 7:30-9:45 p.m. Saturday; and Kenny Mandell’s Music Improv Session with Randy Doak and Lamar Lofton from 7-9 p.m. Sunday.

Piano recital from 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday at Music Center of the Northwest, 901 N. 96th St.

Traffic-wise this weekend:

  • The Mariners are playing against Colorado at Safeco Field at 7:10 p.m. Friday, 6:10 p.m. Saturday, and 1:10 p.m. Sunday.
  • Comedian Kevin Hart is at the Key Arena at 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
  • And the third annual Women of Wonder 5 & 10K is at Green Lake on Sunday morning. Metro bus route 48 will be rerouted.
