Beginning today, Seattle Department of Transportation will close the east and west sides of the intersection of 3rd Avenue NW, NW 56th Street and NW 55th Place to traffic, as crews continue making pedestrian safety improvements as part of the West Woodland Pedestrian Safety Improvements Project.

This closure will be in place 24 hours a day until the projected is completed by mid-August, but local access will be maintained. Pedestrians and bicyclists will be detoured.
