by | Apr 18, 2013

Viewlands Elementary School in North Greenwood is one of 33 community organizations that received a total of $606,000 in matching funds from the city. Viewlands’ Parent-Teacher-Student Association will receive $25,000 to create a master plan for beautifying the school grounds.

The Neighborhood Matching Fund program provides money in both small and large grants for community organizations for purposes from building a new park to a community celebration. Organizations must match the funds in money donated and volunteer hours.

The next round of the Small and Simple Projects Fund opens again to applications in the fall with a deadline of October 7.
