Neighborhood mischief, crime

November 26th, 2012 · Comments

Alina tells us her Subaru’s passenger windows were completely smashed sometime between 11 last night and 7 this morning. Nothing was taken from the car, which was parked on the corner of North 59th Street and Greenwood Avenue North.

Michelle says she saw a man get out of his silver Volvo and knock over both of her neighbor’s garbage cans, around midnight last night, near the corner of 3rd Avenue NW and NW 76th Street. She says as she went inside, she heard another loud thunk, and assumed it was the same man knocking over more cans down the street.

Did anyone see or hear anything related to these two incidents?

    People are weird sometimes.

My passenger side car window was smashed at some point between 6 last night (Monday) and 7PM tonight, On N 73rd, between Fremont and Dayton. Nothing was taken-not that there was anything to take anyway-and the “smashpoint” wasn’t located anywhere by the handle, which is where I assume a prowler would smash.

Our passenger side car window was also smashed about 2 weeks ago on 83rd and 3rd. Nothing was taken. Lot’s of car break in’s lately!

Last weekend, on N. 82nd St. near Linden, thieves broke into a house through glass doors on a second story deck while the residents were out of town. They stole a bunch of stuff, including a big-screen TV and computers. In the last month or so, two cars parked on the street had their windows smashed. There was nothing to steal in either vehicle.

    This is getting frightening!

One of our car windows was smashed late Wed-early Thur. Nothing was taken. Just a malicious act. Corner of 8th & 83rd. Jerks.
