Artists group holding mini craft show at Chocolati on Thursday

by | Jul 17, 2012

A group of crafty ladies have banded together to host mini traveling craft shows at local cafes. Their next show is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday at Chocolati Café, 8319 Greenwood Ave. N.
There you’ll find collage art, screen-printed clothing and bags, jewelry, vintage jewelry, paper goods, and watercolor vegetable portraits.

We are hoping that our local mini-shows will be community gathering events at local cafés, really focusing on the small and local all around. We’re also focusing on mornings: times especially when some parents can grab a wee bit of time out without having to worry about babysitters etc, and meet a friend for coffee for a bit of adult time. We plan to have a circuit through several neighborhoods, doing a show in each place for one to two months on the third Thursdays and circling back through.

You can check out some of the items of the artists Etsy sites:organic cotton T-shirts and hemp bags by Uzura; vintage jewelry, buttons and more from Vintage Necessities; paper collages art from My Chloe Flower; watercolor vegetable portraits by Chavah’s Garden; paintings and more by Amy’s Artworks.
