Live music, Spanish story time, kids gear sale in Greenwood-Phinney this weekend

Lots of live music and other events in the neighborhood this weekend. You can also help out the Greenwood Food Bank by making a donation at several neighborhood pubs: 74th St. Alehouse, Pillager’s Pub, Tim’s Tavern and the Ould Triangle.

Pickled Okra in concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Couth Buzzard Books Espresso Buono Café, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N. Free; food, beer and wine available for purchase.
Ballard Preschool Co-op’s Gently Used Kids Gear Sale, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N. Deals on gently-used clothes, from newborn to size 8, shoes, toys and gear (cribs, beds, car seats, strollers, maternity wear, etc.). Many items go on sale at 50 percent off starting at 12 p.m. Bring your own bags.

St. Patty’s Day party with Medicine Creek on Saturday at Tim’s Tavern, 602 N. 105th St. Party starts at 11 a.m.
Spanish Story Time at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Greenwood Library, 8016 Greenwood Ave. N.
Ruby Smith Benefit Cabaret, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Couth Buzzard, to help pay cancer treatment costs for co-owner Theo Dzielak’s daughter, Ruby.
Maria Dunn performs a Seattle Folklore Society concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, in the Brick Building. Admission is $15; $2 off for SFS & PNA members, seniors and college students; kids are $7. Reservations online or call 206-528-8523.
Brittany Haas and Lauren Rioux perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Empty Sea Studios, 6300 Phinney Ave. N. (The concert is sold out, but you can watch it online for a fee.)
