PEPS orientation at Phinney Center on March 14

by | Feb 24, 2012

The Program for Early Parent Support (PEPS) has openings for families of newborns in Phinney Ridge and Greenwood. An orientation is set for 6:30-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, room 6.

PEPS Groups help new parents share the parenting adventure and get the support they need from other new families in their neighborhood.
At a PEPS Newborn group, new parents meet, share, and learn in volunteer-facilitated sessions. Each meeting includes time for sharing parenting highs and lows, followed by a discussion of a topic related to the joys and challenges of parenting an infant. Meetings take place over 12 weeks rotating between group members homes. Meetings also include break time for informal socializing and connecting with other new parents.
PEPS is currently forming Newborn Daytime and Evening Groups for families with babies born in January in February. To sign up for a group or find out more, visit www.peps.org or call 206-547-8570.
