Small and Simple Projects Fund opens Thursday for applications on emergency preparedness

The next round of Small and Simple Projects Fund grants from the city’s Department of Neighborhoods’ Neighborhood Matching Fund will focus on emergency preparedness. Applications will be accepted starting Thursday, Sept. 1. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on Oct. 17.
The city encourages applicants to attend one of two workshops to learn more about the Neighborhood Matching Fund program, and brainstorm emergency preparedness project ideas. The workshops will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Ballard Public Library, 5614 22nd Ave NW; and on Thursday, Sept. 15, at The 2100 Building, 2100 24th Ave S.
