Greenwood man competes to be hunk o’ burnin’ love at Elvis Invitationals

Nathan Alidina of Greenwood is vying for the crown of Seattle’s Best Amateur Elvis at the 14th annual Seattle (Elvis) Invitationals on Saturday night at Club Motor in the SoDo neighborhood. Saturday is also what would have been the 75th Birthday of the King of Rock and Roll.

Alidina has performed in almost every Elvis Invitationals. He’ll be performing the song “Viva Los Vegas,” backed by the band Kentucky Rain. Check out one of his previous performances.
Mike Weber of Fremont is also competing. Weber goes by the name “Blue Calcutta,” because he was adopted from India. Hell be singing “Heartbreak Hotel.” Here’s video of Mike performing “It’s Now or Never” at last year’s competition.

Jim Dever of KING 5’s “Evening Magazine” is the host. The 21-and-over show starts at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at 1950 1st Ave. S. You can buy advance tickets for $12 from Brown Paper Tickets. Tickets at the door are $15.
