Greenwood Food Bank moving to larger building

by | May 6, 2010

The Greenwood Food Bank at 9747 Greenwood Ave. N., run by the Volunteers of America, is moving several blocks down the street to a much larger building. At 5,000 square feet, the former Artcraft Printing Company building is much larger than the food bank’s cramped 1,200 square feet, where they serve 600 families weekly.

Betty, lead volunteer, told me today that they hope to move into the new space at the end of this month
“We serve a lot of people out of this little place,” Betty said. “There’s a great need out there right now.”
