Home & Garden tour = inspiration

If you were one of the approximately 330 people who toured five houses and five gardens during the Phinney Home & Garden show on Sunday, you probably got lots of inspiration for your home or garden remodel. Here are some pictures of various features that we really loved. (We didn’t get to all the houses and gardens, sorry).
Large mirrors along the back fence make the yard seem much larger:

And the parade of tiny ceramic lizards along the fence adds a whimsical touch:
Fake crows keep the real buggers out of the garden:
A ladder to a secret garage rooftop garden:
A lovely trellis softens a garge wall:
And a little playhouse in the backyard is a kid magnet:
Visitors removed their shoes before entering the homes:
I loved this fireplace and built-in bookcases:
Check out the high box-beam ceilings of this dining room. The beautiful tall window in the back left looks into the basement stairwell:
The concrete floor is stained earthy orange in this basement, which has large picture windows looking out onto the gardens:
