Greenwood’s Michael McGinn running for mayor

by | Mar 24, 2009

Michael McGinn, a Greenwood resident and former president of the Greenwood Community Council, announced this morning that he is challenging incumbent Mayor Greg Nickels.
McGinn made his announcement at 11:30 a.m. at Piecora’s Pizza on Capitol Hill.
He is a former attorney, a long-time volunteer with the Sierra Club, and he’s currently the founder and director of the Seattle Great City Initiative.
Last week McGinn promised PhinneyWood that he’d sit down with us for an in-depth interview should he decide to run. We’ll be soliciting questions from PhinneyWood readers for that interview, yet to be scheduled, so stay tuned.
